Promotion of Château de Sales in Asia in partnership with LD Vins

From 29 November to 6 December 2019, Château de Sales will be taking part in the Grand Crus Bordeaux Wine and Food Festival, an operation to promote top Bordeaux wines organised by the wine merchant LD Vins with its importers in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Macao.

In Vietnam, the importer Warehouse has invited its clients in the cities of Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh to discover the great 2016 vintage.

2019 harvest : last bunches picked on October 8th

The harvest at Château de Sales ended in beautiful sunshine on October 8th. It lasted 15 days this year. The maturity of the grapes harvested heralds a very promising vintage!

The work to make the 2019 vintage now continues in the vat room, as alcoholic fermentation takes place.
We would like to thank all the harvesters once more for their painstaking work.
Now it’s time to celebrate with a traditional meal: the “Gerbaude”!

Beginning of the 2019 harvest on September 20th!

The Château de Sales team is delighted to announce that the 2019 harvest has started on September 20th.
Thanks to perfect weather conditions over the summer, this harvest looks very promising.
We would like to thank the harvesters for their commitment and good spirits.
The Château is open for tours during the harvest season, a chance to discover the precise work of our technical team.

2018 vintage: congratulations to the team at Château de Sales!

Marine Treppoz, chair, and Vincent Montigaud, CEO, presented the 2018 vintage of Château de Sales at the primeur tastings which took place in April 2019.
The French and international press, partner wine merchants and their worldwide distributors appreciated the great quality of the vintage.
The high scores awarded by the press confirmed that 2018 is one of the great vintages produced by the estate.
Marine and Vincent warmly thank all the people at Château de Sales for their engagement and the quality of the work they have done to achieve this great result.

The press acknowledges the great quality of the 2018 vintage

During the tastings that took place in April 2019, the French and international press alike hailed Château de Sales 2018 for its fruit-forward and full-bodied character, its creamy tannins and its elegance.
The very good scores awarded by Wine Advocate, Decanter, Tastingbook.com, JamesSuckling.com, La Revue du Vin de France and Terre de Vins confirm 2018 as one of the estate’s great vintages. It will be bottled in spring 2020.

The 2017 vintage has been bottled

The 2017 vintage of Château de Sales and Château Chantalouette was bottled at the Château from 29 April to 13 May 2019.
It is the first vintage produced by the 25th generation of the Château de Sales family.
The first bottles will be gradually arriving on tables around the world, for the greater pleasure of winelovers.

At a time when foreign and institutional investors are driving up prices, the largest estate in the Pomerol appellation has been in the same family for over five centuries. A family-owned property passed down through the distaff side but always managed by men, Château de Sales now has a woman at its head, Marine Treppoz, who was appointed chair by her 13 cousins and co-owners.
